Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has decided to stay at the club next season amid rumours of a potential exit from the North-London side, according to a report.

The 52-year-old led Spurs back to Champions League football for the 2022-23 campaign after overseeing a fourth-placed finish in the Premier League following his arrival back in November.

Despite that success, speculation had grown surrounding the Italian's future in North London, with it understood that Conte wanted reassurances over backing from the club's hierarchy in the summer transfer window.

However, according to Sky Sports, Conte has decided to remain at the club this summer following talks with managing director of football Fabio Paratici on Friday.

Paratici is understood to have given Conte assurances that at least six or seven players will be signed in the upcoming transfer window, with numerous positions said to be targeted by Conte throughout the squad.

With just 12 months left to run on the former Juventus and Chelsea boss's contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the report suggests that Conte is now more likely to extend that deal than leave.

After succeeding the sacked Nuno Espirito Santo last year, Conte went on to win 21 of his 36 games in charge of Spurs across all competitions in the 2021-22 season, with the last being a 5-0 hammering of Norwich City on the final day of the Premier League campaign, which sealed Tottenham's top-four finish.
