Paris Saint-Germain reportedly have more time to convince Kylian Mbappe to sign a new contract with the club due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has reportedly given Paris Saint-Germain more time to convince Kylian Mbappe to sign a new contract with the club.

The France international, who continues to be strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, will see his current deal in Paris expire in the summer of 2022.

Madrid are allegedly hopeful that the 2018 World Cup winner will refuse to sign a new deal with the French champions so they can launch a bid at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

However, according to Marca, the coronavirus outbreak has given PSG additional time to convince the 21-year-old to commit his future to the club.

Mbappe was allegedly not prepared to discuss his future until the end of Euro 2020, but the European tournament has now been postponed until next summer.

The Frenchman has again been in impressive form for Thomas Tuchel's side during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 30 times and contributing 17 assists in 33 appearances in all competitions.
