Barcelona plan to use Nelson Semedo as a makeweight in potential summer moves, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly planning to use Portuguese defender Nelson Semedo as a makeweight in potential moves for Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar, Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez and Manchester City's Joao Cancelo.

The Spanish outfit's vice-president recently suggested that the club would have to use players in potential swap deals this summer due to the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca will attempt to use Semedo as a makeweight despite the 26-year-old developing into the team's number one right-back since arriving from Benfica in 2017.

The Portugal international has made 29 appearances for Quique Setien's side during the current season, but the speculation surrounding his future has gathered pace in recent weeks.

Barca will seemingly attempt to sign either Martinez or Neymar this summer rather than both, while Cancelo has allegedly emerged as a potential option in defence.

The Catalan giants have also reportedly made a number of other players available ahead of this summer's transfer window.
