Barcelona still view Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez as their number one summer transfer target, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly still determined to sign Lautaro Martinez this summer amid suggestions that Manchester City are firmly in the race for the Inter Milan forward.

City are said to be keen on the Argentina international as they look for a long-term Sergio Aguero replacement, with the experienced striker potentially leaving the Etihad Stadium next summer.

However, according to Marca, Barca are refusing to give up on the 23-year-old and still view him as their number one target in the final third of the field.

The report claims that the Catalan giants are hopeful of agreeing a deal which will see at least one player move to San Siro, with Portuguese defender Nelson Semedo viewed as a possible makeweight.

Martinez enjoyed an impressive 2019-20 campaign for Inter, scoring 21 times and registering seven assists in 49 appearances in all competitions.

However, the South American could not help his side win the 2020 Europa League, with Sevilla running out 3-2 winners in Friday night's final at the RheinEnergieStadion.
