Tammy Abraham, Dominic Solanke give Chelsea first leg FA Youth Cup final lead

Chelsea Under-21s beat Manchester City 3-1 in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup final.

Chelsea Under-21s have beaten Manchester City 3-1 in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup final.

Tammy Abraham scored twice at the Etihad Campus and the teams will meet again at Stamford Bridge next week.

Abraham opened the scoring after seven minutes from inside the penalty area, but City's Isaac Buckley-Ricketts equalised two minutes later.

The Chelsea striker gave his team the lead for a second time after the City defence failed to clear a corner.

Dominic Solanke, who scored in Chelsea's UEFA Youth League final victory last week, added Chelsea's third late on.

The teams will meet in the second leg at Stamford Bridge next Monday.
