Roma are reportedly eyeing up a move for Liverpool's Roberto Firmino in this summer's transfer window, with the Brazilian set to leave Anfield at the end of the season.

Roma have reportedly identified Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino as a transfer target ahead of this summer, with the player set to leave Anfield at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old has revealed his intention to end his eight-year spell in Merseyside at the expiration of his contract in the summer, having won the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020 under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp.

Since making the move from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in June 2015, the attacker has appeared over 350 times for the Reds, scoring the majority of his 109 goals as part of a famous forward trio alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Jose Mourinho's Roma are eyeing up a move for Firmino as they look to build a team capable of challenging for Serie A titles once again.

The report claims that the Giallorossi are preparing to make an offer for the Brazil international ahead of this summer's transfer window, with the club hoping the pull of Mourinho can lure the forward to Rome.

Firmino and his Liverpool teammates travel to Elland Road this evening in the Premier League - a meeting with Javi Gracia's Leeds United presents the Reds with an opportunity to close the gap on the European places.
