Liverpool are set to offer Mohamed Salah a new contract worth £350,000 per week, according to a report.

Mohamed Salah has moved a step closer to signing a new contract with Liverpool, according to a report.

The Egyptian's current deal at Anfield runs until 2023 and there has been speculation about his future in recent weeks with no new deal on the table.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have both been linked with a move for Salah, who scored his 100th Premier League goal last month.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool are now preparing to offer the 29-year-old a new deal worth £350,000 per week and are keen to come to an agreement before the January transfer window.

The report adds that Salah is keen for the new contract to last until 2026, at which point he will be 34 years old.

The deal would make the forward the highest-paid player at the club, ahead of the likes of Alisson, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who have all recently signed new big-money contracts.
