Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero ruled out of Chelsea clash

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirms that Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne will both miss Saturday's Premier League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been ruled out of his side's Premier League clash with Chelsea on Saturday.

Aguero has missed City's last two games after suffering a muscle problem in training, and the Argentine will once again be sidelined for this weekend's trip to Stamford Bridge.

The 30-year-old's absence will likely mean that Gabriel Jesus leads the line once again, despite not having scored in the Premier League since August.

City boss Pep Guardiola also confirmed that the match comes too soon for Kevin De Bruyne, who has been out with a knee injury since the beginning of November.

Asked if either Aguero or De Bruyne would be fit to face Chelsea, Guardiola told reporters: "No, both cannot play tomorrow. They will be back soon."

City are bidding to win four matches in a row against Chelsea for the first time in their history.
