Pep Guardiola "pleased" with cup win

Pep Guardiola is delighted with his side's 5-0 win against Hamburger SV in the quarter-finals of the German Cup.

Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola has revealed his delight with his side's 5-0 thrashing of Hamburger SV in the DFB-Pokal quarter-finals on Wednesday night.

Guardiola said that he would love to reach the final in his first attempt at the competition because he has heard good things about the day out in the capital.

"I'm pleased with the performance and it was a great game from us," he told the club's official website. "This is my first go at the DFB-Pokal.

"Lots of people have told me what a good day out it is in Berlin, and we're only one step away now. It's definitely special for me. We had a few problems at the start but it was easier after we scored our second."

Bayern drew Kaiserslautern in the semi-finals, who beat Bayer Leverkusen.
