Friday's Barcelona transfer talk news roundup: Georginio Wijnaldum, Neymar, Melayro Bogarde

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Barcelona on Friday, November 27.

The summer transfer window has now closed, shutting the door on one of the most turbulent spells in Barcelona's history.

The Spanish giants were rocked by Lionel Messi's request to leave the club, sparking a bitter contract dispute which ultimately ended with the six-time Ballon d'Or winner reluctantly agreeing to stay for at least another season.

Other notable names such as Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal did leave, though, while Messi's future is sure to be the subject of much more speculation going forward.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news from the Camp Nou.

Friday morning's Barcelona transfer talk news roundup:

Liverpool 'inserted anti-Barcelona clause in Philippe Coutinho deal'

Liverpool reportedly took measures to ward off future interest in their players from Barcelona when allowing Philippe Coutinho to leave for Camp Nou.

At the start of 2018, Liverpool reluctantly gave permission for the Brazilian to move to the La Liga giants for a big-money fee spread over a number of years.

Since securing the playmaker's signature, the Catalan side have been linked with moves for the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum and Sadio Mane.

However, according to The Times, Barcelona would have had to pay an extra €100m (£89m) if they wanted to push through a deal.

The report claims that Liverpool inserted a clause in the Coutinho deal which protected them during future discussions over sales.

The exit of Luis Suarez in 2014 likely played a part in the stance taken by the Premier League outfit.

Barcelona 'make enquiry for Hoffenheim defender'

Barcelona have reportedly made an enquiry for Hoffenheim centre-back Melayro Bogarde.

The 18-year-old's existing contract with German club is due to expire at the end of the season, fuelling suggestions that he could be on the move at the start of 2021.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Ronald Koeman's side have made contact with Die Kraichgauer over the possibility of signing Bogarde during the January transfer window.

Di Marzio, though, also claims that AC Milan have made their interest known, with the Italian giants keen on bringing the Netherlands Under-18 international to San Siro.

Bogarde, who is the nephew of former Netherlands international Winston Bogarde, has made one Bundesliga appearance and one Europa League outing during the 2020-21 campaign.

The teenager arrived at Hoffenheim from Feyenoord's youth system in 2018.
