Leicester City have lined up Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar to replace Youri Tielemans at the club this summer, according to a report.

Tielemans has been heavily linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium at the end of the season as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.

Arsenal are reportedly the favourites to land the 25-year-old, and as a result of his expected exit, the Foxes have begun searching for a replacement in the centre of midfield.

Former Arsenal target Aouar is said to be of interest according to L'Equipe, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League on numerous occasions in recent years.

No move to the Emirates Stadium has ever materialised, but the report suggests that Leicester could be the side to finally bring the 23-year-old to England.

The Frenchman has made 214 appearances for the Ligue 1 side since breaking through at academy level in the 2016-17 season, scoring 39 goals in the process across all competitions, including experience in both the Champions League and Europa League during his time at the club.
