The current season of RuPaul's Drag Race could end a week earlier than expected due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This week's episode will see the five remaining queens whittled down to a final four - and based on previous seasons, next week would be a reunion episode followed by the finale the week after.

The reunion and finale had not been filmed before the coronavirus lockdown and VH-1 has still yet to confirm how the season will end.

In a tweet today, however, the show's official account announced that there are "just TWO EPISODES remaining", suggesting that the finale will air next week instead of the week after.

One possibility is that the reunion and finale have been merged into one episode, with suggestions that the season 12 queens may have already convened for the finale over conferencing app Zoom.

Sherry Pie has made it through to the final five but has been disqualified from the competition due to past transgressions even if she makes it through to the final four.
