Harvey Weinstein tests positive for coronavirus?

Disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein reportedly tests positive for the deadly coronavirus disease.

Disgraced Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus in his New York jail cell.

The 68-year-old began a 23-year sentence behind bars at the Wende Correctional Facility last month after being found guilty of several counts of sexual misconduct.

According to the Daily Mail, Weinstein reported symptoms of the virus to staff when he arrived at the jail last Wednesday, having previously been at the Rikers Island facility, where several inmates have tested positive for the deadly disease.

A source told the newspaper: "He tested positive and is quarantined."

Weinstein spent five days in hospital after his conviction for heart and chest problems, placing him in the vulnerable category for the disease.

Coronavirus has so far claimed the lives of more than 14,600 people worldwide, while over 335,000 have tested positive for the disease.
