Olly Alexander concedes that he is unlikely to win the Eurovision Song Contest for the United Kingdom this year.

Olly Alexander has conceded that he is unlikely to win the Eurovision Song Contest this year.

The Years & Years frontman will take to the stage to represent the United Kingdom in Malmo, Sweden on Saturday with a homoerotic boxing-themed performance of his song 'Dizzy'.

The latest bookmaker odds give him an 80/1 chance of victory, while he is currently third favourite to finish last with odds of 7/2.

"I'm probably not going to win," he said, in quotes reported by The Sun.

"The performance is challenging so success will be not falling over and managing to hit the high note."

He added: "I still feel though sometimes, I'm like, 'Oh my God, I can't do it, it's all going to go terribly wrong.'

"'I'm just the wrong person to be here, like oh my God', you know what I mean?

"But I actually can do it and I get this amazing platform so I'm just going to make sure I get out there and do a really good job."

The grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest begins Saturday at 8pm UK / 9pm CET.
