The BBC and Channel 4 sign a dual deal for coverage of next week's British Swimming Championships.

The BBC and Channel 4 have signed a dual deal to broadcast coverage of next week's British Swimming Championships.

The event takes place at the London Aquatics Centre from April 2 to 7 and will see elite swimmers compete for places to represent Team GB at this summer's Olympics and Paralympics in Paris.

Every finals session will go out live on BBC iPlayer and red button, whereas Channel 4 will broadcast the finals and also the morning heats via C4 streaming and YouTube.

The BBC has also committed to showing the finals of the British Diving Championships in May.

British Swimming chief exec Drew Barrand said: "We are thrilled to be able to announce that both BBC Sport and Channel 4 are on board in this historic joint-broadcast deal for next week's British Swimming Championships - and that the BBC will also be showcasing our world-class athletes at the British Diving Championships.

"This is a pivotal moment for aquatic sport, and I would like to thank both the BBC and Channel 4 for their show of commitment in working with us to provide the millions of fans across the country with the opportunity to watch and engage with the sport they love."

Among those competing at next week's meet are Adam Peaty, Tom Dean, Duncan Scott, James Guy, Freya Anderson and Abbie Wood.
