Filming on the new season of American Horror Story is suspended after a crew member tests positive for coronavirus.

Filming of the new season of American Horror Story has been suspended after a member of the crew tested positive for coronavirus, it has been confirmed.

The 10th season of the Ryan Murphy horror anthology was originally due to be filmed over the spring and summer of 2020 for broadcast later that year but plans were thwarted by the pandemic.

Filming was able to start last December, however, and is still ongoing as the season - codenamed 'Double Feature' - is split into two distinct parts, with mostly different casts.

According to Variety, one of the actors on the show has now tested positive for coronavirus and the whole production has consequently been shut down until at least the end of the week.

The new season is scheduled to premiere in the US on August 25.
